Melissa Klosk, PsyD

Senior Clinical Psychologist

Melissa Klosk (She/Her), Psy.D., is a clinical psychologist who takes a collaborative and integrative approach to her treatment with children, adolescents, adults, and families. She specializes in the evaluation and treatment of children, adolescents, and young adults with mood, anxiety, and disruptive behavior disorders, and in providing parenting support and guidance. Dr. Klosk is trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Interpersonal Psychotherapy for adolescents, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and attachment-based dyadic therapy. She also has significant experience navigating the special education system, providing psychological assessments, and consulting with school staff. Dr. Klosk believes the strength of the therapeutic relationship is the most important mechanism of change and she takes a strengths-based, warm, and compassionate approach to treatment in order to help families reach their goals.

In addition to working with clients through Dr. Kleinman’s practice, she is also a psychologist at New York-Presbyterian Hospital and an Assistant Professor in Medical Psychology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. In this role, she provides individual, group, dyadic, and family therapy, and supervises doctoral-level psychology students.
