Kimberly Kleinman, PsyD

Kimberly E. Kleinman (She/Her), PsyD, is a clinical psychologist specializing in the evaluation and treatment of mood, anxiety and behavioral disorders in children, adolescents and young adults. She has particular interest and expertise in the treatment of depression, specific phobias, school refusal, OCD, trichotillomania and oppositional or noncompliant behavior. Dr. Kleinman works closely with schools and parents to offer in-home treatment and school consultation. Dr. Kleinman has certifications in hypnotherapy, CBT, Trauma-Focused CBT, Exposure Response Prevention and as a PCIT International Within Agency Trainer.

Dr. Kleinman is also a senior psychologist at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital and an assistant professor at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. In this role, Dr. Kleinman works closely with families and schools by combining her interests in well-being and positive psychology with behavior modification, preventative interventions and dissemination. Dr. Kleinman is the team lead for the CAM SEL Program which offers a tiered approach to prevention and intervention in schools in New York City.

In addition to seeing clients in her Westchester and Manhattan offices, Dr. Kleinman is licensed in New Jersey and Michigan. She is also a PSYPACT provider and authorized to provide virtual sessions in additional states (click here for a list of states).
