Sarah Kerner (She/Her), PsyD, is a clinical psychologist specializing in the evaluation and treatment of anxiety, mood, and disruptive behavior disorders in children, adolescents, and young adults. Dr. Kerner is trained in a variety of evidence-based treatments, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), interpersonal psychotherapy for adolescents (IPT-A), parent management training (PMT), and trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT). Above all, Dr. Kerner values the client-therapist relationship and prioritizes warmth, humor, and collaboration in her practice.
In addition to working with clients in Westchester, Dr. Kerner is a clinical psychologist at New York Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Irving Medical Center. She is passionate about collaborating with families and schools to provide accessible and comprehensive care. She is the lead psychologist in developing and implementing a social-emotional learning course, which focuses on teaching DBT skills to middle school students. Dr. Kerner received her doctoral degree in clinical psychology at the Rutgers Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology (GSAPP). She received her MA in elementary education from Pace University and graduated summa cum laude from University of Pennsylvania with a BA in psychology.
